Medical Toxicology
A Medical Toxicologists Specialist is a medical doctor with additional qualifications enabling specialization in the evaluation and management of injury or illness from exposures to drugs as well as biological, chemical, and radiological agent in academic, clinical, public health, and governmental settings, and administers poison control center guidance. Medical Toxicology conditions include acute drug intoxication; adverse medication events; substance abuse issues; bio-hazardous materials; environmental and occupational chemical exposures; and terrorism preparedness.
